Gary Goldsmith
Gary Goldsmith began his career at legendary agency Doyle Dane Bernbach in New York in 1981, where he produced award-winning work for Volkswagen, IBM, Chivas Regal, Polaroid and Hershey.
In 1987, he partnered with Robert Jeffrey to start Goldsmith/Jeffrey. Over the next ten years, the company became an internationally recognized and creatively lauded agency, producing widely known work for Everlast Activewear, Knoll International, El Al Israel Airlines, ESPN, J.P. Morgan, Macallan Single Malt Scotch and Barney's New York. In 1997, his agency was acquired by Lowe & Partners and the Interpublic Group, with Goldsmith named executive creative director and then chairman of the combined agency. The agency's signature campaigns include Mercedes Benz, Sony, UPS, Sprite, Diet Coke, Heineken and Saab.
A past president of the One Club, Gary also represented the United States as a judge in both the print and film competitions of the Cannes Festivals.
In addition, before founding Makers+Mentors, Gary served as the Chair of Advertising at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena for twelve years, where his students won more than 80 One Show Pencils.
